Leon Williams, Jr.

Leon Williams Jr., 74, passed away, Thursday, September 21, 2023, at his home with his family by his side.  He was born October 1, 1948, in Miami, Florida to the late Leon Williams, Sr. and Rosa Bell Hartley Williams.  Mr. Williams served his country and retired from the U.S. Air Force, where he was an airplane mechanic.  He also retired from Gulfstream Aerospace. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his twin sister, Lenora Dorsey.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Angelica Aird Williams, his five children, Laytonia Register-Hawkins (Irvin-deceased), Rosa Williams, Leon Williams (Paris), Nicole Williams, and Michael Williams (Nikki).  Also surviving are his sister, Mary Ann Hayles (Eugene-deceased), and his brother, Harry Aubrey Williams (Marsha), twenty-two grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, September 29, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Georgia.
